Carrier Process Equipment Group (CPEG), is a Louisville, KY based company with multiple businesses specializing in material handling and processing equipment. We are looking for the BEST Lab and Rental Technicians in the industry to help us grow our business at Carrier Vibrating Equipment in Louisville.
We are seeking someone who is eager to learn and grow professionally. You demonstrate a positive attitude and go above and beyond for your teammates and customers.
Schedule: 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (schedule can vary due to customer visits)
What you'll do
- Set equipment up for tests using work orders and confirm the proper paperwork is complete.
- Handle Safety Data Sheet Materials properly.
- Assist Project Engineers in running tests and collecting data.
- Install instrumentation on equipment as necessary.
- Perform light welding and electrical wiring of PLCs, controllers, motors, and other 3-phase components.
- Maintain Lab and Rental area 5S, track supplies and indicate when to reorder items.
- Complete inventory audits on test materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Implement Total Productive Maintenance procedures on all Lab and Rental equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of controllers, control valves, transmitters, and other process instrumentation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with multiple teams and individuals.
- Strong attention to detail and follow through, with tasks, especially with safety procedures.
- Organization skills and ability to maintain cleanliness standards in the lab.
Qualifications that are a plus
- A maintenance background.
- Ability to operate fork trucks and cranes.
- Experience prioritizing demanding workloads in a deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma.
