StarPlus Energy iscurrently seeking a skilled and experienced Korean-English Interpreter to join us at our newelectric vehicle battery manufacturing plant in Kokomo, Indiana.
As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for accurately translating written and verbal content from Korean to English and vice versa. The ideal candidate will have native or near-native fluency in both languages, possess excellent linguistic and cultural understanding, and be committed to delivering high-quality translations.
Responsibilities:
- Translate written documents, including emails, reports, marketing materials, and legal documents, from Korean to English and vice versa.
- Conduct consecutive or simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences, and other events as required.
- Ensure accurate translation of content while maintaining the intended meaning, style, and tone of the original text.
- Research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology to ensure accurate translation of specialized texts.
- Edit and proofread translated documents to ensure linguistic and grammatical accuracy.
- Collaborate with other translators and team members to ensure consistency in terminology and style across projects.
- Communicate with clients to clarify translation requirements, address questions, and provide project updates.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy and data protection regulations.
- Use translation tools and software to enhance translation efficiency and maintain translation memory.
- Continuously improve language skills and cultural knowledge through self-study and professional development.
Shift: 1st-Shift: M-F, 8am to 5 pm
Completely proficient with writing, reading, and speaking in Korean and English.
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Ability to work an 8 hour work day
Some weekend work and overtime may be required
Must be able to interpret within a manufacturing environment
Must have the ability to commute to an office location full time (Kokomo, Indiana)
The position for which you are interested may require you to work around automated equipment or machinery. Are you willing and able to work around manufacturing machinery?
The position for which you are interested may require you to work in a Clean Room/Dry Room and wear safety equipment such as protective clothing (mask and hat), safety glasses, or steel-toed shoes. Are you willing and able to wear required safety equipment?
The position for which you are interested may require standing or walking for long periods of time, bending, or lifting as much as 40 pounds. Are you willing and able to stand, walk, bend, or lift as required?

Compensation: $50,000.00-$70,000.00
Additional Details : Salary within the posted range is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
