Job Summary
The pharma& KOL Engagement and Strategy team member is an individual who will engage with the scientific community to develop and lead the strategy and help establish pharma& as an industry leader and trusted partner. This individual will aid the team with support at scientific conferences, advisory boards, round tables, symposia and other key groups. This position requires a unique combination of scientific knowledge, collaborative communication, and commercial skills spanning education, scientific content development, marketing, and commercial strategy. They will be part of the US commercial organization but supporting the pharma& global teams. They will focus on a specific region to identify and develop current and future key opinion leaders across the ovarian and prostate cancer space and beyond. The team activities will be focused on regional impact with key customers, while delivering competitive intelligence and actionable insights back to the entire organization. This position will report to the Scientific Strategy and Engagement Director.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop scientific and clinical education and engagement strategy in partnership with internal stakeholders to support global needs, ensuring localization as needed for each region.
- Create a process to ensure relevant and compelling scientific communication strategy and pillars, updated based on market insights
- Liaise with medical and commercial leadership to support content development and dissemination needs
- Define the strategy to introduce best practices for scientific Engagement and exchange through valued and novel communication channels, seeking to engage medical experts where they most value the exchange.
- Work closely with internal teams to help support key customers and stakeholders, while helping provide key learnings back to the internal teams to appropriately pivot to meets the needs of “each” stakeholder
- Build/maintain relationships with three customer groups: national and international KOLs, key customers, and next generation leaders in the space. These customer groups will include a mix of oncologists, urologists, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
- Work to help the optimization of HCP communications/messaging around evolving brand/indication data
- Manage the relationships of external stakeholders by ensuring high value stakeholders and committee members are committed to an on-going relationship with pharma& that allows more business impact and insight gathering
- Understand and stay current on regulatory requirements in effort to push business forward to meet HCP engagement goals while remaining compliant
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to further evolve HCP engagement strategy
- Work with corporate communications, market access, marketing and commercial operations to identify market research opportunities
Qualifications
- Prior pharmaceutical marketing, medical affairs, sales or other customer-facing experience preferred
- Strong self-starter: ability to manage and balance short-term needs with long-term priorities; can work on multiple projects and prioritize/multi-task effectively
- Comfort with clinical and complex information and develop customer driven insights to drive brand performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to meet tight deadlines and help others do the same
- Ability to innovate/brainstorm new ideas to solve challenges
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to compliant and transparent data dissemination
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, PhD, PharmD or other advanced degree preferred
- A minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical experience
- Oncology or rare disease experience preferred
- Excellent presence, presentation, and communication skills; has the ability to take complex scientific concepts and tailor communication/messaging according to varying audiences
- Experience effectively managing stakeholder expectations and tight timelines to generate the highest quality output
- Must be able to work across levels in the organization to drive projects to completion
- Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual communication tools. Strong PowerPoint skills preferred
Working Conditions
- Business travel required during the weekdays, weeknights, and on weekends during customer visits, key conferences, congresses, and advisory boards (<50%)
- Able to sit for long periods at a desk
- Able to read and review large quantities of printed material or online material
