Kitchen Helper/Cashier

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will assist in various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen. This is an entry-level position that offers an opportunity to gain experience in the culinary industry.

Duties:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen manager
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas, pots and pans
- Stock and organize ingredients and supplies
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by working a serving line and plating customers food choices.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dining area

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred
- Knowledge of POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.03 - $17.03 per hour
