Our Fairbanks Westmark Hotel and Conference Center team is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our Food & Beverage team.Where would we be without you, the Heart of the House? You set the tone for a safe and enjoyable experience for all team members and our guests.
Responsibilities:

• To ensure that guests receive clean and spotless china, silverware and glassware.
• To provide the cooks, server assistants, bartenders and servers with support and assistance.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness of kitchen facilities.
• No supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 years is required
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Participates in HAP's sustainability program, aka "Sustain Alaska & the Yukon", and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.
• Participate in HAP's safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.
• Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service to all guests, coworkers, and vendors.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.Holland America-Princessis unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 10-15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, chemical instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including all company health and safety standards.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and employees and problem solve.
• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
