Schedule: Sun/Mon/Fri/Sat shift from 1:30 to 9:30pm to start with room to grow into full-time in the future

The purpose of this position is to perform routine tasks such as product packaging, prep work, dishwashing, trash removal, sanitation procedures, etc. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Keep the department’s retail areas fully stocked by preparing and refilling containers to established par levels
• Be sure signage is accurate and follow food safety and allergen standards; notify management if change is needed
• Stock and organize the storage shelves and coolers per department expectations following FIFO and use-by/sell-by dates
• Ensure proper storage and labeling procedures as per health department and organic standards
• Restock the hot bar with dishes and supplies
• Assist the cooks with prep duties such as peeling, chopping, slicing, mixing, cooking, as directed
• Help maintain the cleanliness and order of the department and ensure food prep, work area, utensils, equipment and display areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition meeting or exceeding health department standards
• Wash dishes, pots and pans in a timely manner using proper sanitation techniques
• Receive deliveries in accordance with store policy
• Clean up spills; take out trash, recycling and compost as needed
• Follow USDA and NH State Law regarding the use, labeling, and handling of allergens
• Follow standard Sanitation Operating Procedures schedule including: deep cleaning schedules, good health dept. scores, pest awareness/control, equipment maintenance, hood/grease trap cleaning
• Participate in inventory counts as directed by management
• Notify management of supplies needed and equipment problems or requirements
• Follow and suggest edits as needed to the opening and closing checklists
• Monitor temperatures in cooler and cases

• Regularly lift 50lbs safely
• Ability to be mobile throughout entire shifts
• Bend, squat, stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers
• Sufficient vision to perform your job safely and accurately
• Work a schedule that includes weekend, early morning, and evening shifts as needed
• Effective communication skills in English
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations to customers and employees
• All employees must become familiar with membership information and must be able to provide this information to current and prospective members
• Operate equipment such as commercial dishwasher, oven, stovetop, slicers, blenders, robot coup
• Will be required to use various cooking tools and knives
• Add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Familiarity and knowledge of current trends in the natural foods industry
• Experience serving the public
• Environment includes working in hot kitchen and in a walk-in cooler and freezer
