Job Summary
Pack client meals for delivery, ensure the correct number and type of products are packed. Assist with general kitchen production duties.
Essential Job Functions
- Package food items using proper utensils, portion control and menus. Accurately count and label food items.
- Ensure orders are correct, verified and packed in a timely manner. Check and record all refrigeration temperature three times daily.
- Assist in portioning hot meals according to portion control guidelines as appropriate.
- Assist with the production of food items as needed, including cooking and raw food preparation under supervision.
- Complete routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment, dish room, food preparation and storage areas.
- Ensure product is stocked in an organized manner following first in, first out (FIFO) principles so as to save time and increase ease of work.
- Ensure routes are packed in a timely manner per delivery route order.
- Assist with outreach initiatives to increase the number of clients served.
- Deliver meals when necessary to client homes and distribution sites.

- Attend all meetings and trainings as required.
EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent, food service experience preferred.
- Valid Ohio drivers license and insurability by the company.
- Ability to read and understand directions.
- Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of food service regulations.
- ServSafe certification required, or ability to obtain within first year of employment.
CORE COMPETENCIES (Requires Annual Assessment)
- Valid Ohio drivers license and insurability by the company.
- Completion of all required trainings.
- Maintain basic ServSafe certification.
- Completion of packing duties with minimal corrections or additional instructions.
- Demonstrate first in, first out (FIFO) inventory management.
