Cook Assistant

Duties:
- Support head cook to ensure smooth operations and timely service - Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Ensure proper food storage, handling, and sanitation procedures are followed
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook or similar role
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects, ability to carry food trays up and down stairs
- Food handler's certification is preferred

We are looking for a skilled Coo's Aid to join our team. As a Cooks Aid, you will support the lead cook by preparing and cooking food items according to recipes and quality standards. You will also assist with menu planning, inventory management, and ensuring proper food storage and handling. You will fill in for the Cook when they are not available. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a cook, knowledge of various cooking techniques, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Please note that this position is Monday - Friday (no weekends or evenings). The hours are 8:30 to 2:30, but could be more if you are seeking more than 30 hours per week.
