Class Description
CCBC anticipates the need for a Program Director of Kinesiology.
Minimum Requirements
Masters of Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science, Masters or Doctorate degree in Athletic Training or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Candidate should have a minimum of five (5) years documented experience in the field to include clinical practice and administrative leadership, and two (2) years' experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities.

Class Specific Essential Duties
  1. Provide the day-to-day management of the program, including supervision of full-time and adjunct faculty and staff;
  2. Coordinate the scheduling of faculty, courses, and facilities within program.
  3. Work collaboratively to achieve departmental, divisional and/or institutional initiatives.
  4. Participate with the hiring and evaluation of assigned staff.
  5. Represent the program, school and the College with students, parents, professional organizations, and other relevant constituencies.
  6. Participate in budget processes.
  7. Develop Perkins budget annually and handle expenditures appropriately; and
  8. Coordinate the Professional Advisory Committee.
  9. Develop community partnerships for internship program.

Position Specific Essential Duties
  1. Provide administrative leadership for and management of the program.
  2. Support the development, coordination, and evaluation of program curriculum.
  3. Develop, maintain, comply with, and conduct a periodic review of written agreements with cooperating agencies.
  4. Recruit and retain program participants.
  5. Participate as an active member of the Wellness leadership team.
  6. Conduct formal and informal counseling of students; and
  7. Develop methods of program evaluation to ensure ongoing effectiveness through outcomes assessment and corresponding revisions as needed.

The Roth 403(b) savings feature allows employees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdraw tax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth 403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors: TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees may contribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously.
