Kiewit is seeking a customer service minded candidate with interest in learning about Domestic and International Relocation counseling services. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment which requires strong attention to detail and responsiveness.
HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization.
This position is based out of Lenexa, KS or Omaha, NE. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.
This role requires a team player approach, positive attitude, excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple high priority requests, while interfacing professionally with people inside and outside the company.
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
Serve as supplemental point of contact to support employees throughout the relocation process. This includes managing the logistics of moves (household goods shipments, corporate housing).
Research and provide recommendations for housing data in new project locations. This independent research includes studying housing availability and average costs.
Arrange and manage corporate housing for assignees and Districts. This includes reviewing options provided by vendor to determine best housing option with at least a "B" rating that provides reasonable cost and commuting distance.
Partner internally with various functions such as accounting, payroll, tax, and immigration to ensure accurate Notice of Assignments are processed and relocation transfers are completed accurately in system.
Responsibilities also include mitigating and problem-solving issues for quality control, ensuring the process meets Service Level Agreements, and escalating issues to the Relocation Lead.
Calculate and provide cost estimates for relocation and TDY assignments to Management.
Maintain employee tracking database and files.
Assist with various administrative and special projects as assigned.
1-3+ years Human Resource experience
Strong customer service orientation
Effective, creative problem solver with strong analytical and research skills
Ability to manage competing demands and priorities/multi-tasking skills
Work independently and function effectively as a team
Agility to support different functions within the department
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in excel and Microsoft suite
Bachelor degree a plus
