Job Description
Implement a dynamic Kid’s Ministry for kids and families at a Mariners congregational site. Work closely with the Mariners Kids ministry team to unpack the Mariners Kids strategy and values through curriculum.
- Execute a quality, relationally engaging experience for kids and families.
- Assess general needs during the program and be able to address those needs in an appropriate way.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with volunteers and parents of children.
- Collaborate with Mariners Kids staff across the Mariners organization as needed.
- Forecast and recruit to maintain appropriate levels of volunteers.
- Build a team of volunteer coaches and senior coaches to lead volunteers and ministry initiatives.
- Develop and implement systems for relational care, development, and training for all volunteers.
- Be excellent at conflict management and responsive to conflict when it happens. Attend and participate in Mariners Kids special events and training meetings throughout the year.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate grasp of leadership, organizational, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Strong communication, relationship building and awareness of when to employ discretion. Education and/or experience in children’s ministry/child development.
