Key Account Service Manager

SUMMARY
The Key Account Service Manager (KASM) manages activities and processes in assigned territories in a manner consistent with RATIONAL USA's philosophy, goals, and objectives. The KASM's primary responsibility is to support, and manage RATIONAL USA technical service for national accounts customers. The KASM must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, technical details concerning RATIONAL USA equipment, accessories, consumables, and spare parts to support customers, internal staff, and our business partners. They will carry out technical support issues in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. The KASM works with the customer to train their service sub-agents. The KASM prepares monthly territory reports, monthly itineraries, and communication with customers in a timely manner. The KASM is the key link for all service needs from the sales organization to their customers. The KASM is the service ambassador representing RATIONAL USA in a professional manner at all times.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:

1. Territory management, including developing service partners, reviewing inventory levels, holding partners accountable to agreed-upon metrics, and addressing complaints
2. Training, including service provider updates and warranty processes
3. Warranty and invoice review
4. Sales support

QUALIFICATIONS include:

• Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent relevant experience is highly preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to proactivly prioritize and multi-task
• Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Availability for occasional overnight travel
• Ideally based in the Chicago-land area and able to work from the Rolling Meadows, IL corporate office
