MPS is seeking a talented Key Account Manager with responsibility for executing the go-to-market strategy for the business, which includes "owning" the end user, working with our distribution partners, conducting market research (new products and/or markets), and resolving the day-to-day issues of an assigned territory and customer base. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Telecom or Utility industry.
This role is 100% Remote.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain close relationships with the end customer - solve their problems and convert them to our products.
- Product training and support.
- Be the interface to the customer for quality matters and drive them to resolution.
- Work with engineering on new product development by articulating the opportunity, providing key market intelligence, and interfacing with the customer.
- Utilize our distribution partners to help achieve our business plan.
- Analyze sales data for your customer base and highlight/address any problem areas.
- Establish individual sales quotas and track performance against expectations.
- Support the day-to-day activities of Customer Service and address any issues they escalate.
- Assist Accounting with respect to credits or past-due receivables.
- Support Purchasing with dead stock and forecasting for inventory planning.
- Support pricing rollouts and participate in trade shows.
What You'll Need to Excel in This Role
- A bachelor's degree and five years of sales experience required.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Knowledge of the market, customer base, distribution channel, and competitive landscape.
- Knowledge of the products - key design features, benefits, and application
- Industry knowledge and existing customer relationships in Broadband / MSO / CATV desired
- Comprehensive knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must be able to travel 50%-75% nationally.
