The Accounting Manager position is responsible for performing routine accounting functions as
well as periodic analyses and reporting as needed across multiple entities. A
successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong skills in organization,
management, coordination, collection, information management, reporting, and
communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Oversee and manage the daily accounts payable activities across multiple entities, to ensure month-end reports, year-end reports, and other accounting projects are completed accurately and timely.
Develop, manage, and implement systems for paying, collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
Manage, coach, and supervise accounting staff.
Manage reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card accounts.
Prepare, review, and file periodic sales & use tax filings.
Evaluate, develop, and help improve internal controls, practices, procedures, and systems within the department to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Audit, prepare, review, and analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Manage general ledger and perform month-end and year-end close processes, including account analysis and journal entries for multiple entities.
Prepare financial statements and other management reports.

Support financial planning by forecasting cash & payables.
Provide documentation and assistance to external CPA firm to complete annual tax returns.
Maintain files and comply with record retention requirements.
Assist divisions to develop streamlined processes and procedures.
Perform, assist, and collaborate on complex accounting ad hoc analysis and projects and initiatives, as assigned.
Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or applicable work experience.
5+ years of relevant work experience that has contributed to the development of proven accounting and computer application skills with a portion of it being in a supervisory role.
Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Excellent professional communication skills (oral and written) across diverse populations required.
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques.
Self-starter with high degree of personal accountability and ability to multi-task required.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must pay attention to details and be highly organized.
Must have a positive attitude.
Previous software conversion and implementation experience, a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is in Salem, Oregon.
It is an office environment, and you will be working at a desk for most of the day.
ATTENDANCE:
This full-time position requires regular and punctual attendance compliant with the schedule set to meet company needs.

Pay: $75000 - $95000 / year
