Position Summary:
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing existing business and for leading the identification, evaluation and capture of new business opportunities at a key electric vehicle account. Incumbent is tasked with the development and growth of new and existing relationships at all levels of the specified customer's organization including supply chain, technology, and program management. Incumbent will also serve as initial technical support for existing and new programs at specified customer. This position is located in Cary, NC.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Manage existing business by ensuring excellent support, facilitating internal alignment and determining and mitigating risks.
- Maintain preferred supplier status through expert relationship management within account.
- Grow and expand sales at Key Account by identifying, evaluating and commercializing new business opportunities within product portfolio and help to identify new sales opportunities for other Parker divisions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between customer and internal functions, such as but not limited to customer service, logistics, manufacturing, product/program management, quality, supply chain planning, and technology.
- Manage numerous, complex projects simultaneously and be able to organize and prioritize appropriately.
- Grow number of customer touchpoints at all levels to improve brand/product awareness.
- Act as initial technical point of contact for support and sales inquiries.
- Have a passion for the EV space and the energy to stay ahead of a fast growing, quickly evolving market.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in relevant field with 3-5 years of field experience in business development and/or sales/marketing positions in relevant industry.
- Strong business acumen and be able to think on your feet quickly and accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to produce results in an autonomous role. A true self-starter.
- Passion for growth in a fast-moving, emerging market, as well as a high degree of perseverance to deal with the ensuing challenges and ambiguity.
- Aptitude to lead a team through high pressure, highly visible sales cycles.
- Proven project management, organizational, and prioritization competencies. Excellent interpersonal skills, such as teamwork, influencing, verbal and written communication.
- An analytical approach to planning and problem solving.
- Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. Travel, up to 30-40%.
