Kennel Technician

• Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care for our furry friends. • Responsibilities:

- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and administering medication as directed
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Monitor the behavior and well-being of animals, reporting any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and basic grooming tasks as needed
- Handle animal restraint in a calm and gentle manner
- Assist veterinary staff with procedures and examinations as directed
- Provide exercise and playtime for dogs in outdoor areas
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior

• Qualifications:

- Previous experience in pet care or related field is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with pet owners in a professional and friendly manner
- Knowledge of basic pet grooming techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with veterinary procedures and terminology is beneficial
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and effectively
- Experience in dog training or pet sitting is desirable
- Physically capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $8.50 - $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
