Form of workAre you a “jack of all trades?” Woodside Animal Hospital is currently seeking a Kennel Attendant. As part of our team, you’ll get a “behind the scenes look” at what it really takes to keep pets happy and healthy. You’ll play a critical role in making sure the dogs and cats in our care are given the special attention they deserve!
Our Kennel Attendants are responsible for the comfort, housing, walking, and feeding of all patients in the hospital with the goal of maintaining a clean, healthy, and sanitary condition throughout the hospital for employees and animals.
The schedule for this position is Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:45 am to 1:00 pm.
The starting wage is $16.28 / hour.
We’re looking for someone:
- with attention to detail: each dog and cat has its own special needs.
- who can communicate well and professionally with a diverse population.
- who can stand for extended periods of time (upwards of 5-6 hours at a time) and lift at least 40 lbs.
- with the ability to work well with humans: we love playing with puppies and kittens, but people in both of these roles interact with clients and are expected to work well in a team.
- has a flexible schedule. While we will try to provide you with a consistent schedule, the healthcare field changes from minute to minute; we must be willing to do the same.
