SalaryMEOW Cat Rescue seeks a cat-loving Shelter Caregiver to join our staff in a part-time position to ensure that cats' needs are met and the shelter is clean and healthful. Professional animal handling, feeding, and medicating experience or equivalent training is required, and shelter or veterinary clinic experience is preferred. Applicants should have a proven record of working well with others.
Responsibilities include daily cleaning and sanitizing of cages and common areas according to strict protocols, administering medications, observing cats for signs of illness or behavioral problems, performing cleaning duties such as laundry, sweeping, mopping floors, washing dishes, cleaning cat posts, and making sure the shelter is clean and ready to open each day. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 7am until approximately noon (shift end times may be earlier or later, depending upon shelter population).
