Kennel Attendant

Responsibilities:

-Ensure that all clients feel welcome and secure in trusting their furry friend's care to MLVH
- Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercise
- Clean and sanitize kennels and surrounding areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Monitor the behavior and health of animals, reporting any concerns to the supervisor
- Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior observations
-Janitorial Duties

Skills:

- Experience in pet sitting or working as a veterinary assistant is preferred
- Ability to handle heavy lifting, as some animals may require assistance or restraint
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and ability to work with dogs of various temperaments
- Strong understanding of pet care practices, including nutrition, exercise, and basic health needs
- Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff
- Familiarity with veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and veterinarians
