This role is responsible for oversight of all inventory activities including cycle counting, inventory adjustments, audits, reconciliation, analysis and related interface with various departments including Customer Contact Center and Operating Company planning departments. Collect and analyze data related to the efficient movement and accuracy of inventory in the Memphis Logistics Center. Lead quality and continuous improvement projects. Work with management to implement corrective actions plans based on slotting analysis, trend analysis and forecasting, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in investigation of inventory discrepancies found during picking and replenishment
- Cycle count planning, applying and investigating
- Accept cycle count variances that have been approved by the Inventory/Facilities Manager or MLC Director
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Participate in investigation of short-pick process; short-pick process picking, communicating and labeling
- Facilitate back ship
- Own and monitor system synchronization report (SAP vs MARC) to ensure system synchronization and transition to Super User when MARC is implemented
- Own and monitor all inventory reports
- Execute first-time SKU setup process; determine put-away and slotting strategy
- Execute changes to slotting strategy based on periodic basis
- Slotting analysis
- iDoc investigation/resolution
- Applies Process Excellence tools and methodology to identify,
- Evaluate, and recommend business process and system improvement opportunities.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to drive improvement
- Continually improves expertise in process improvement techniques and teaches process improvement techniques to others. Mentors LC III associates and others in developing new skills, in understanding company and industry dynamics, and in strengthening team relationships.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations, Engineering or related field is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of two (2) years of related work experience is required.
- Experience in inventory (i.e., cycle counts, managing accurate inventory records, performing miscellaneous inventory adjustments for re-dress, quarantine or product holds), distribution, operations, Supply Chain and/or Logistics is required.
- Experience working in a GMP environment is an asset.
- Process Excellence experience a plus.
- Process Excellence Green Belt/Black Belt trained is preferred.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of SOX requirements is preferred.
- Computer skills and use of software application(s). Strong computer background (MS Office, MS Project Management, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is required.
- 10% Domestic or International Travel
