Staff Accountant
This is an in office position, based in Boston, MA
Our client is seeking an accomplished professional to manage the financial records of our client, a rapidly expanding and purpose-driven company. As the Staff Accountant, you will collaborate with our Accounting team to craft and assess financial reports, ensure compliance with legal requirements, handle accounts payable and receivable, and oversee invoices and tax payments.

Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to gain an in-depth understanding of business operations
- Processing Accounts Receivable/Payable to ensure timely cash recording
- Cultivating professional relationships with customers and vendors
- Data entry, record maintenance, and the creation of reports and financial statements
- Managing expense report compliance, as well as bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assisting in bringing the books to the trial balance stage and ensuring accurate transaction recording
- Completing tax forms and handling ad-hoc reporting
Professional qualifications:
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles (Recent Grads welcome)
- Experience in a VC/PE-backed fast-paced early-stage biotech or Healthcare company, or 1-2 years of experience at a public audit firm is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Proficiency in MS Office with experience using accounting software (NetSuite experience preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills with a knack for numbers
- CPA or progress toward completion of CPA desired
