The Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) oversees and operates Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program), Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), and other state public health programs for qualified Coloradans. We are looking for a Junior Salesforce Administrator to join our Member Contact Center Operations team within the Medicaid Operations Office!


The Client Services Division is responsible for the Member Contact Center (MCC). The MCC is the Department's main, centralized Member contact and assistance center for inquiries and problem resolution for all medical assistance programs managed by the Department. The MCC provides assistance through its call center, email in-box and chat functions, assisting members in accessing health care, understanding the services and benefits, navigation of the health care delivery system and providing general information to the public.


Staff within the unit answer questions, address problems and inform clients of health care program features, benefits, and options. Staff may assist callers in locating other resources for health care, benefits and services not covered by the Department.


The work unit assists members with understanding and resolving such issues as: billing problems, pharmacy problems, home health issues, private duty nursing problems, enrolling into the Primary Care Physician Program and Health Maintenance Organizations, resolving constituent issues from legislators and the Governor's office. The work unit handles client problems and complaints either in person, by mail, email, Internet, fax, telephone, and chat. Staff must be knowledgeable about all the operations and programs of the department, county social/human service eligibility processes including the Affordable Care Act, including Advanced Premium Tax Credits; Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment eligibility, presumptive eligibility; Medicare and Third Party Insurance Interfaces; Division of Insurance Regulations; Health Maintenance Organization Member Service Operations; Social Security processes; networks of providers in each HMO and actively participating Primary Care Physicians; programs for the uninsured and under- insured and community resources and roles of various governmental departments.

This position can work fully remotely from anywhere in the State of Colorado.

**Please note - equipment provisioning and certain onboarding tasks will take place in person, in our downtown Denver office, on the first day of employment.**

This position serves as a Junior Salesforce Administrator for the MCC's Operations Team, supporting both the existing MCC Salesforce application as a part of day-to-day maintenance and operations as well as configuring new solutions. Assists with prioritizing and completion of work, which includes, but is not limited to system maintenance, both technical and non-technical support, reporting, configuration, and documentation. This position is also expected to act independently in analysis, evaluation, and applying judgment and action to address issues concerning application functionality or user interfaces. The Salesforce Administrator's technical support work will focus on the following tangible work products:

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Completing user maintenance including adding new users or amending existing accounts, checking system permissions on user Profiles, Roles, Permission Sets, Public Groups and Queues
  • Providing support to Salesforce users in all groups to resolve issues with Salesforce and related applications
  • Assisting in determining and creating or updating Sharing Rules.
  • Managing data coming into the Salesforce application from source systems via Data Loader or API
  • Updating or Building creating reports and dashboards that monitor the wealth of data quality in Salesforce
  • Customizing and developing Page Layouts, Lightning Pages and List Views.
  • Updating or removing picklist values, amending page layouts, custom fields, validation rules or formulas
  • Providing information for technical documentation as well as training materials related to builds and functionality the Salesforce Administrator has completed. Participate in training activities for staff
  • Analyzing complex issues and resolving Salesforce issues, configuring the system, and making changes to meet user and business needs while working within department guidelines
  • Assisting with deployments to the system, participating in user acceptance testing
  • Suggesting ways for the features and capabilities of the Salesforce platform to improve manual or automated processes

Education and Experience:


Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related
to the work assignment.


AND


Two years of professional experience working as a Salesforce Admin or Assistant Salesforce Admin.

Substitutions:


Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.


Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior state experience related to the duties of this position

  • Experience managing or supporting various user profiles, to include adding new, building, or maintaining user profiles
  • Experience developing and maintaining various reports and dashboards
  • Experience identifying system issues, demonstrating ability to troubleshoot and assist users with various technical issues
  • Experience maintaining and updating field dependencies, flows, application integrations and understanding of how applications work together
  • Experience updating system with Senior Admin on future releases

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
