Job Description
General Summary/Objective:
The Junior Sales Account Manager position sells friction (brake) related products using technical, organizational and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation. The sales engineer will work as a liaison between our factory and the customers (OEM auto makers and Tier one suppliers) in order to maintain and grow our friction sales. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning and technical development of products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Customer Relations (customer meetings) - (30%)
o Primary contact for the customer
o Identify customer needs (new areas or necessary items for business development)
o Receiving RFQs, preparing and submitting quotes to customers
o Primary negotiator for commercial related items externally (program background, target price, VA/VE ideas, competitor, strength and weakness of our product) and internally (cost analysis, VA/VE ideas, long-term strategy)
o Support purchasing activities (sub-supplier quote/delivery and negotiation as needed)
o Ramp/Launch forecasting and planning of new business (maintain timeline)
· Customer Support – (30%)
o Logistics support (customer forecast, ordering, warehousing, tracking orders, etc.)
o Sample, testing, and general support to R&D and plants
o Customer satisfaction tracking and improvement activity
o Resolve customer complaints and conflicts within the company (quality issue, delivery delays, and fluctuations/cancellations)
o Price negotiation (annual price negotiation/productivity/RMI agreement) and manage the periodical price change (sell and buy prices)
· Business reporting - (20%)
o Analyze and report sales budget performance, business forecasting utilizing customer’s forecast, sales history, and market intel
o Factory production forecasting, meetings, and support
o Keep the company informed of customer changes based on account responsibilities. Submits information to our global teams and management on a timely basis
· Cash flow management (AR collection support, resolution) – (15%)
· Participation in Trade Shows / Expositions - (5%)
Position Requirements (Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Detail oriented, ability to maintain timeline
· Achievement oriented
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
· General proficiency in forecasting techniques

1) Bachelor degree required (Engineering or Business degrees are preferred)
2) 1 year of experience in a Sales, Sales Engineer, Account Management role is preferred
3) Preferred applicants will have Automotive (and Brake) related experience
4) Japanese Bilingual (Plus not mandatory)
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Internal office environment including the typical office items such as a phone, computer, and desk while at Resonac America ,Inc office. Additional time will be needed at customer sites usually in meeting rooms. Occasionally, it will be necessary to visit a factory environment for customer audits or similar visits.
Physical Demands:
Carrying computer bag or sample parts (<20lbs) may be necessary. Otherwise, there are no unusual physical requirements of the position.
