Mechanical has provided a full range of refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, drain cleaning, and environmental services to commercial, industrial and residential customers.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The main duty of a Junior Project Manager is to assist Project Managers with HVACR, plumbing, and mechanical projects from conception to completion, while monitoring compliance with G.E. Mechanical quality and safety standards and all applicable regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide administrative, sales, and estimating support to your division/projects
• Estimation management of assigned projects/jobs
• Estimate/Manage assignments within accepted proven professional guidelines (MCA/PHCC/AIA)
• Execute materials procurement for Project Managers
• Schedule completion dates for bid requests and record customer/project information
• Create bid folders and load customer information and project information on bid documents and estimate templates
• Complete material/labor quantity take-off
• Perform site visits/field surveys
• Provide quick small project quotations and keep current material and labor prices
• Provide continuous improvement of customer service in terms of scheduling, real-time on-site performance, customer new installations, replacement quotations, and overall customer service

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field OR

1 years' experience in project management and/or estimating in construction, mechanical, or related industry

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience with HVAC and plumbing equipment estimates and projects
• Possess skill and understanding in conceptual estimating
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail and organization
• Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets
• Understanding of risk management policies and procedures
• Ability to work as a team player
• Verbal & written communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of estimating software, strategies and techniques
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
