Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participates in the design of construction, rehabilitation, and/or alteration of structures, facilities, equipment, and/or other rail infrastructure systems.
- Conducts field surveys to collect data and facilitate the timely completion of engineering projects.
- Estimates material quantities and other resources needs to produce project and departmental schedules and accurate cost estimates, including project resources.
- Reviews and checks drawings prepared by in-house drafting personnel. Able to produce MicroStation drawings for various rehabilitation projects based on department needs.
- Good communication skills required in order to transfer field-gathered information and transfer this to repair drawings that are complete and understandable to engineering and construction personnel.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering discipline or equivalent.
