Junior Interior Designer 1

The base pay for this role is $57,000 - $66,000 annually. *
Chicago, IL: Hybrid
Chantilly, VA: Hybrid
Atlanta, GA: Hybrid

Exp Federal is an established Chicago-based full service architectural and engineering firm that provides a full range of exceptional design solutions and construction support to the federal government. Our team of professionals operates in some of the most challenging environments to provide support services to a variety of governmental agencies globally.
The Challenge:
We are seeking a Junior Interior Design/Interior Architect to join our growing design team in our Chicago office.
Principle areas of responsibility are:

  • Convert Interior Designer’s markups into working drawings utilizing Revit
  • Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules
  • Assist in selecting materials and finishes based on project requirements
  • Prepare presentation quality renderings utilizing Sketch Up, Photoshop and other similar software
  • Prepare color boards for client review
  • Coordinate with other disciplines

Required Qualifications:

  • Preferred to have a degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design or Interior Architecture Program.
  • 0-4 years of experience
  • Strong Revit experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
