Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our school community as a Junior High Girls Basketball Coach. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in basketball, a love for teaching and mentoring young athletes, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective coaching strategies for Junior High basketball players.
- Provide skill development sessions and create practice plans that focus on individual and team growth.
- Foster a positive and supportive team culture that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during practices and games.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and the athletic department to create a cohesive and supportive athletic program.
Additional Details:
- Availability for after-school practices and evening games January – March 2024.

- Evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in dealing with people.
- Answer basic questions about the Christian faith, provide religious resources, and pray with students and parents.
Professional Requirements
- Receive a fingerprint clearance to work with children from State and Federal governments.
- Possess evidence of other adequate preparation, background, or experience as determined by the school administrator.
- Maintain a personal appearance that is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, and good taste consistent with school policy.
- Recognize the need for good public relations. Represent the school in a favorable and professional manner to the school’s constituency and the general public.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the administration.
Compensation:
All coaches receive a stipend: $1,500-$1,800 stipend per team coached.
