Junior Graphic Designer

smartdept. is searching for a Junior Graphic Designerfor an independent creative agency client of ours located in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 1-3 years of experience in graphic design with prior experience in the creation and editing of company logos. This is a part-time, fully remote, project-based contract opportunity with the possibility of being brought on for other projects in the future. Compensation for this position is expected to be $17-$23/hour depending on experience level and fit.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with the client to edit and refine existing logo designs
• Develop multiple iterations of company logos tailored for various applications
• Prepare and deliver high-quality files to meet client specifications and requirements

What You’ll Need:

• 1-3 years of demonstrated proficiency in graphic design, particularly in logo creation and editing
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in logo design.
• Access to a personal computer and necessary software to work remotely
• Ability to seamlessly integrate into ongoing projects and adapt to changing requirements

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud for enhanced design capabilities
• Previous experience or background in freelance creative work
