Junior Graphic Designer

We currently have an immediate full-time position opening for a Junior Graphic Designer located in City of Industry, California.

Job Summary:

The Jr. Graphic Designer will exhibit strong visual design skills, possess excellent attention to detail, and be able to multi-task and deliver quality work under tight deadlines. Critical tasks include creating marketing collateral and assisting with other marketing tasks as needed. A portion of the work will be production and non-creative, making edits to and updating existing marketing pieces. An effective candidate must be able to take direction from the design team to implement feedback and ensure content design adheres to company identity and brand guide.

Essential Functions:

• Design and update high quality graphics for a wide range of mediums including; but not limited to: brochures, webpage, print advertisements, trade show displays, sales presentations, digital ads, email templates, and infographics in coordination with Marketing personnel.
• Organizational and time management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must ensure projects are high quality and on schedule without errors.
• Resize and manipulate photos and images as needed.
• Adhere to Brand Guidelines and stylistic brand identity.
• Apply best practices in both print and digital formats. Design and prep artwork for print production.
• Coordinate, research and negotiate with vendors.
• Maintain a library of images of Astrophysics’ products, accessories, and features.
• Update and maintain website content in WordPress.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or another related field.
• 1-2 years of professional graphic design experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Highly proficient in Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Strong design portfolio across social media, print and digital mediums.
• Fluent in English with ability to spell correctly and communicate effectively.
• Diverse knowledge of layouts, typography.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and deliver under tight deadlines.

Extra consideration will be given to candidates who possess the following skills:

• WordPress, photography experience.
• Videography: shoot professional, high-quality product videos.
