About Us: Clearfield Construction, LLC. is based out of San Antonio, TX. We specialize in Concrete flatwork/sitework, Concrete paving, Bridges, Retaining walls, Foundations, and Drainage structures. We also have a d.b.a. Alamo Decks & Fence, which specializes in commercial Fencing, Gates, Decks and Trellises.

Our work culture is that of a small business, very friendly and open communication. We are looking for a candidate with a similar culture that can learn and grow with our company.

Estimator Job Responsibilities: The biggest responsibility of the estimator is to appraise or determine the cost of projects we are bidding on as a General Contractor or Subcontractor. Additionally, the following responsibilities will be required:

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Maintains contact and relationships with private individuals and other organizations.
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements.
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data.
• Continually updates technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Work Hours and Benefits: The work hours will be 40 hours per week. We have our physical office in San Antonio, TX 78212, where the Estimator will be required to physically come to work at least 3 days per week, with the option of a hybrid workplace, working remotely up to two days per week.

Estimator Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong analytic abilities
• Strong Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and word processing programs
• Understanding of construction documents
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to coordinate and work independently

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Sciences is preferred but not required.
• A minimum of two-years’ experience as an estimator is preferred but not required.
