Job description

Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project budgets and schedules
- Utilize estimating software such as PlanSwift with Earthwork pro to create comprehensive estimates
- Research and gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
- Review and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure cost control
- Provide support during the bidding process, including attending pre-bid meetings and site visits

Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction estimating or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Planswift or similar programs
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with construction management principles
- Experience using Microsoft office suites for document management
