Junior Content Specialist

The Lash Lounge is looking for a Junior Content Specialist to create multimedia marketing assets, spanning a variety of channelsweb, digital advertising, email, social, print and community marketingand audiences, including leads, guests, members, franchisees, stylists and franchisee candidates.
This person is passionate about the beauty and self-care industries with a special emphasis on lash and brow treatments and their intersection with pop culture. Theyll bring beauty category expertise and an innate knack for translating the voice of the brand to marketing materials, alongside the content manager and creative specialist, to illuminate competitive points of difference, illustrate the salon experience and humanize the brand.
This person will thrive in a remote work environment, moving quickly, thoughtfully and thoroughly to keep pace with a fast-moving industry and the demands of a growing brand.

Job Responsibilities
Create

• Regularly concept, film and edit short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
• Regularly write educational, promotional and culture-fueled blog posts, actualizing an SEO-driven keyword strategy.
• Draft compelling copy and purposeful multimedia for use on social media platforms.
• Concept and produce Lash Lounge email newsletters and campaigns that complement overall marketing strategy and monthly content themes.
• Working with digital advertising media partners, produce and/or optimize digital ads across a series of evergreen and promo-specific campaigns.
• Ensure web standards are followed across web pages, collaborating with the content manager and graphic designer to refresh and rebuild webpages and web headers where needed.
• Produce educational and sales-driven web content as necessary, supplementary or guided by partner agencies.
• Keep Indeed and Glassdoor branded profiles up to date and respond to employee reviews on a regular basis.
• Create franchise development and internal communication pieces as needed.

Assist

• Serve as a category expert, interfacing with the training and products teams, staying up to date on beauty, lash, brow and spa industry developments, competitor positioning and announcements, and product and service releases, for the purposes of internal and external communication.
• Serve as an extra hand for the content manager and graphic designer during concepting and execution of seasonal, promotional and evergreen campaigns across all mediums.
• Monitor and respond to social media messages and comments.
• Perform keyword research to inform content generation as requested.

Qualifications

• ~12 years of professional writing experience, ideally in a marketing setting
• Bachelors degree required, ideally in the communications, marketing, journalism or liberal arts
• Lives in close proximity to a Lash Lounge salon location
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Proficiency in filming and editing short-form video content (active TikTok and/or Instagram presence preferred please provide in application)
• Familiarity with Canva

Salary

• $40,000$45,000 (dependent on experience)*

*Salary range is fixed and does not adjust based on candidates location.
