Position: Junior Buyer
Position Reports to the Purchasing Manager

Job Description
The Junior Buyer will assist in purchasing materials, supplies and services for the organization. This person will Track purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor information.
Responsibilities

• Expedite, post pone and cancel PO's as necessary to meet production timing
• Handles special projects research for the department
• Work cross-functionally between buying and operations
• Coordinates and monitors inbound shipments
• Review and process all RMAs including communication with vendors for credit or replacements.
• Maintains system accuracy
• Provide customer service to sales teams and vendor for pricing issues, coordinating ship dates, expediting orders and maintaining of purchase orders.
• Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
• Accomplishes purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

• Must speak and write English proficiently
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin, Cantonese or Taiwanese preferred, but not required.
• Communicate clearly, concisely, timely, and professionally within our team and with external vendors:
• Must have strong analytical abilities and work well under pressure
• Prior experience with Epicor 9 or above preferred
• Must have experience utilizing MRP to procure
• 3 to 5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Lighting

• Must possess excellent communication skills and be self-motivated.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
