The Junior Buyer/Planner for Leica Biosystems is responsible for buying and planning, analyzing and managing open orders against inventory and stocking plan to drive on-time delivery.
This position is part of the Planning Team located in Richmond, IL and will be hybrid. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.
You will be a part of the Global Supply Chain team and report to the Sr. Manager Planning responsible for buying, planning and managing stock levels for all items, including adjusting, reporting and reviewing results on a daily basis in order to meet key deliverables. - Meet key deliverables such as On-Time Delivery and Inventory value through daily management.
- Determine root cause and countermeasure analysis using Problem Solving Process
- Communicate with Richmond team to ensure on time delivery as well as lead time accuracy.
- Work with Buyer/Planners to update item master information within SAP.
- Work with Buyer/Planners to create, review and validate work instructions for the team.
- Manage and develop reports/tools to help drive improvement.
- Manage material movements including scrapping and internal use for finished goods.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- High School Diploma
- 0-3 years' experience in supply chain roles within a manufacturing company
- ERP experience
- Intermediate skills with Excel.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- SAP experience
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement Concepts
