We are seeking a Junior Ad Tech Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in advertising technology (Ad Tech) law, with a keen interest in staying abreast of the rapidly evolving legal landscape within the digital advertising industry. The role will involve providing legal guidance and support to our company's Ad Tech operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and agreements, and assisting in the development and implementation of Ad Tech strategies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of Ad Tech matters, including programmatic advertising, data privacy, intellectual property, contracts, and regulatory compliance
- Review and negotiate agreements with Ad Tech vendors, advertising agencies, technology partners, and other stakeholders
- Analyze legal implications of new Ad Tech initiatives and provide guidance to internal teams on best practices and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, marketing, and finance, to ensure legal considerations are integrated into Ad Tech projects and initiatives
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and legal precedents affecting Ad Tech, and proactively advise the business on potential impacts and strategies
- Assist in drafting and updating policies, procedures, and terms of use related to Ad Tech operations
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on Ad Tech-related issues as needed
- Assist with Ad Tech-related disputes, litigation, and regulatory inquiries as they arise
- Support the legal team in other ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned
Who You Are:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction
- 1-3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on advertising, technology, and/or contract law preferred
- Strong understanding of Ad Tech ecosystem, including contracts, advertising platforms, data management platforms (DMPs), demand-side platforms (DSPs), supply-side platforms (SSPs), ad exchanges, and related technologies
- Familiarity with key regulatory frameworks impacting Ad Tech, such as GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and other privacy and consumer protection laws
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
