About the Opportunity
DMI is looking for a Junior Windows System Adminsitrator
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the management and administration of physical and virtual Windows servers in all environments.
  • Duties include installation and configuration of Windows server software, setting up the operating system environment to host standard software, adding/removing applications, security, performance, and reviewing logs for errors or warnings and resolving problems when they appear.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of the health of the Windows servers, working with the vendor to obtain technical support and to implement solutions to problems and malfunctions. Execute additional systems administration tasks by
  • Responsible for the management and administration of the VMware server environment, including installation and configuration of VMware ESXi or vSphere on UCS Chassis, allocation of NAS attached storage to VMware, and implementation of VMware features such as Virtual Motion, Dynamic Resource Scheduling, Disaster Recovery, and Snapshots.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of the health of the VMware environment using VM Virtual Center.
  • Responsible for applying product patches and upgrades to the operating system as recommended and documentation for reporting or auditing purposes.
  • Responsible for the management and administration of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Server environment.
  • For data protection of the LAN, perform backups as per the current process and schedule.
  • Perform data restores upon request and periodically test backup system for verification purposes.

Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
  • 2+ years professional experience with Information Systems, Windows System Administration, and technology functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred.

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
Required:
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows virtual servers, VMware, and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Server
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and topologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Planning and organization skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) highly desired

Desired:
  • VMware ESXi, vSphere, VM Virtual Center, NAS attached storage, Dynamic Resource Scheduling, Disaster Recovery, and Snapshots.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)
  • RedHat Linux administration a plus.
  • Documentum, Web Logic, NetApp or Citrix experience.
  • Additional certifications including VMware Certified Professional, CompTIA Server+, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator
  • Salesforce Administration or Salesforce Platform highly desired
