Marathon TS is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a Federal client in Washington DC.
Systems Engineer (SE): The SE shall be on-site daily at DCF and WCF and is responsible for the following:
Designing, deploying, and maintaining, Microsoft-based systems and infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and related components.
- Developing and implementing automation solutions to streamline system provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Ensuring that system malfunctions are identified and, where possible, corrected and advises the Project Manager of all malfunctions and the actions taken for correction.
· Troubleshooting and resolve complex technical issues related to Microsoft systems, networking, and security.
· Monitoring system performance and conducting regular performance tuning and optimization activities.
You should possess the following experience, skills, and qualifications:
- Strong familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and system administration tasks.
- Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and related technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
