Primary Function
The Title Specialist is responsible for working with title companies and closing agents to ensure receipt of title documentation.
Principal Duties
- Communicate and partner with title companies and closing agents to ensure timely receipt of title documentation.
- Review title commitments, wiring instructions, and CPLs for accuracy and compliance with company policy.
- Work with internal business partners for closing agent approval, update loan system with correct loan contacts.
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous mortgage experience at a title company, or as a loan closer or processor.
- Experience in related fields such as real estate title or mortgage industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements
- Must be able to meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service.
- Understands the importance of excellent customer service.
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills and possesses a positive "can-do" attitude.
- Detail oriented; skilled in staying organized, can prioritize and multitask, can meet timelines and understand that no detail is too small.
- Respond timely to both internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet, and Microsoft Outlook
