The Role:
Crafty Service Technicians are the face of our Service Team. They are responsible for providing diagnostic and repair services for our clients in-office; as well as preparing, bench testing, and keeping inventory of parts and equipment at our warehouse.
On a daily basis, our Crafty Junior Service Technician will work out of the warehouse or Crafty office and visit multiple clients to perform the following duties:
In-Office Service
- Installation of equipment for our clients; including brands such as DeJong Duke, BUNN, Nespresso, Natural Choice Water, Kegco, and more
- Providing instructions for proper use of equipment to the clients and field team when applicable
- Handle bi-annual filter changes on equipment; including brands such as DeJong Duke, BUNN, Nespresso, Natural Choice Water, and more
- Handle preventative maintenance on equipment; including brands such as DeJong Duke, BUNN, Nespresso, Natural Choice Water, True Refrigeration and more
Equipment Management
- Tag all newly installed equipment and help maintain client data across our platforms (Asset Panda/Hubspot/Craftydelivers.com)
- Work with the Service Supervisor on any parts/tools needed
- Gain and maintain knowledge and technical skills needed for all current and future equipment offered by Crafty
Client Communication and Service Team Relations
- Building a relationship with each client while servicing their equipment, including checking in on any recent observations or issues
- Communicating issues and needs to the Service Supervisor on a daily basis
- Communicating with warehouse team when applicable
- Working closely with the Service Supervisor on tasks and projects, both long and short term
This role reports directly to the Service Supervisor.

Who we are looking for:
Your experience (preferences, not requirements):
- Ambition: excitement around building a skill set that includes ability to diagnose, install, troubleshoot, service, and repair all Crafty/Crafty client owned equipment
- Reliable: Our Junior Service Tech must be punctual and reliable
- Multi-tasking: dealing with unpredictable issues and needs of the client
- Prioritization: executing tasks and managing your time responsibly
- Driver's License - comfortable driving to client offices for service visits and hardware stores for installation/repair needs
- A general understanding of commercial appliances, plumbing, and electrical
- Previous technical education is a plus, but not required

- The ability to frequently lift up to 25+ lbs, working on your feet, underneath cabinetry, and frequent bending, and lifting

Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination required.
You are considered fully vaccinated:
- 14 days after your dose of an accepted single-dose vaccine
- 14 days after your second dose of an accepted 2-dose series
- 14 days after you've received 2 doses of any "mix-and-match" combination of accepted COVID-19 vaccines administered at least 17 days apart.
If you do not meet these requirements, you are NOT considered fully vaccinated.
