THE ROLE
The Jr. Quality Engineer effectively supports company efforts in implementing new or improved systems to prevent re-occurring customer complaints and breakdowns in the quality system.

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support efforts to dramatically reduce customer complaints.
- Support day-to-day internal and external quality issues.
- Apply statistical methods/analysis to improve process capability, reduce process variation and achieve breakthrough performance.
- Support problem-solving efforts to improve and eliminate waste-reduced costs of poor quality.
- Provide technical and engineering support on an ongoing basis to process teams and other areas as needed.
- Establish systems to create a continuous improvement infrastructure throughout the company.
- Drives change, removes barriers, and promotes creativity, with a bias for action.
- Support company efforts in implementing new or improved systems to prevent re-occurring customer complaints and breakdowns in the quality system.
- Review, approve, and monitor all plant performance against customer quality standards.
- Coordinating customer spec reviews, creating packaging specs, and maintaining a central packaging and tooling specification location.
- Support training modules related to product specifications, job-related training, inspector certification/re-certification, safety, and remedial training for all employees.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Work as the liaison between manufacturing and the SAP team to resolve process flow issues, and work order issues.
- Generate and/or initiate documents for change including Engineering Change Notices, Document Control Change Notices, and Document Control Review Notices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree (Sciences or Engineering)-preferred
- Direct experience in Engineering /Manufacturing/Quality Management in High-volume, High-Performance Material Operations.
- Developed skills and knowledge of statistical process control techniques, statistical analysis, design of experiments, FMEAs, and control plans.
- Proficient in the use of MRP/ERP systems and relevant statistical software.
