Job Description
This is a hybrid role working remote, the Farmington Hills office and the Troy office
Automotive PROGRAM buyer experience – Program buyer is buying related to program support of automotive components and materials for RFQ programs and awarded programs, degree in related field, not mandatory but highly preferred
· Will need to support RFQ programs and programs awarded with buying requirements as well as support the program thru launch
· Will would work with the business development team on the front end of the program
· Familiar with / Basic understanding automotive related requirements: PPAP, APQP, various program milestones, etc.
· General understanding on how to evaluate RFQ
· Experience as a PROGRAM BUYER form ANY Tier 1 or 2 is PERFECT
· High energy, Good communication, Good analytical skills and good organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
· Work under tight deadlines
· Work with and engage with their suppliers, Program Manager and the commercial team
· Be articulate – be able to summarized their findings on what costs what, etc.
· Must know MS Office suite
· Any exposure to an ERP
· Will provide training if entry level
· Be able to present costing information in a clear and concise manner
· Experience with procurement and development of automotive parts & materials.
· Some experience with industrial processes.
· Ability to engage people/team members in order to achieve results.
· Must possess basic financial acumen.
