As part of a hardworking and lively team of patent attorneys in Legal and Compliance, you will assist Blue Origin in the operation of its Innovation and Patenting Program. You will share in the team's objectives of encouraging, developing and capturing innovation. You will be responsible for assisting a Senior Patent Agent in the tasks of creating and managing a patent portfolio. This includes tracking and scheduling. You also will organize and track the key performance indicators for the program.
As part of the team, you also will work with engineers and outside counsels in patenting pursuits and developing innovation. To be successful, you need to have excellent organizational and time management skills. You also should be open to learning to operate intellectual property management software.
This is a highly visible position in a group that reports to the General Counsel. You will be routinely working with senior-level engineers and executives. Your efforts will build value for Blue Origin well into the future. And you will be working with the most exciting technology in the universe!

Qualifications:

• B.S. or other 4-year technical degree in engineering, math or science
• Licensed as a Patent Agent under the Patent Bar
• 0-3 years of experience working as a Patent Agent to encourage, develop and capture innovation at a private company or law firm, or strong interest in developing a career as a Patent Agent
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is
$91,804.50 - $128,526.30 USD
