Sheet Metal Contractor currently in search of a Jr. Estimator.

General Responsibilities:

Our estimating team is crucial to the success and growth of our company. The estimating team evaluates projects, requirements, scope, and schedules and determines accurate costs to ensure profitable outcomes for the company and customers. The team is invaluable and shapes the company's competitiveness in winning contracts while delivering reliable cost projects for successful execution. This involves establishing a foundation for relationships with all customers, vendors, and project owners to enhance the company's reputation and solidify long-term relationships. The estimating team is transparent and builds trust with all corresponding parties to build an adaptable and ever-evolving company to properly navigate the constant changes in the market and its current conditions. The estimating team is committed to securing projects and satisfying customers' requests and needs while ensuring the company's and its team's prosperity.

Significant Duties:

Project Evaluation:?

• Thoroughly assess project specifications, requirements, scope, and schedules.?
• Conduct detailed analysis to understand the intricacies of each project.?

Cost Determination & Takeoff?

• Accurately calculate costs associated with materials, labor, and other project-related expenses.?
• Utilize comprehensive knowledge of market conditions to provide precise cost estimates.?
• Collaborate with other subcontractors and contractor teams to align estimates and scopes.?

Client and Vendor Relations:?

• Establish and maintain relationships with customers and vendors.
• Foster transparency and trust to enhance the company's reputation and secure long-term partnerships.?

Requirements/Qualifications:

Technology Proficient?

• Has a solid understanding of using the following software.
• MICROSOFT WORD?
• EXCEL

• BLUE BEAM?
• BUILDING CONNECTED?
• PLANGRID?
• PROCORE / SMART BID
• CRM SYSTEM?
• Has the willingness and potential to learn additional software.

Technical Proficient:?

• Understand construction project specifications, requirements, scopes, and project schedules.?
• Has a good understanding of reading building plan sheets and details.

Education and Experience:?

• Degree or equivalent 2-3 experience in like position or field: estimating, construction management program, sales, mathematics and/or engineering

• Excellent collaboration skills to work with subcontractors and contractor teams.?
• Ability to align estimates and scopes while effectively communicating with customers and vendors.?
• Effective team player with communication and interpersonal skills
