Job Summary
The Estimating Assistant will oversee the administrative effort of the bidding process. Some of the responsibilities include preparation of bid proposals, Good Faith documentation, and submission of electronic bids. This is a full time in person role reporting out of the Brea office. Flexible hours can be discussed with supervisor.
Main Responsibilities
- Own the administrative effort of the bidding process by completing bid packages on all projects.
- Initiate the GFE process by meeting program requirements for advertising and outreach on all bids.
- Support the estimating team by uploading all projects on Pantera for vendor solicitations.
- Post bid results and update estimating database for reporting.
- Submit GFE documentation on all assigned projects.
- Support estimating team to prepare escrow documentation as needed for bid compliance.
- Submit electronic bids.
- Distribute updated project information for all assigned bids (addendums, Q&A, etc.).
- Own the entry and approval of bids and bonds in our bid management system (BMS).
- Support the estimating team by soliciting AC quotes.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Technology or an equivalent combination technical training and/or related experience
- Minimum of 1-5 years' experience in construction administration or estimating related experience
- Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively and be flexible
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines and process projects quickly
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must be a self-starter and self-directed
- Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
