Jr. Copywriter
Location: Full-Time Remote - in the following locations only:
AZ, AR, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, KY, MA, MN, MT, NV, OH, PA, TX, UT & WA
Schedule: Full-Time Non - Exempt
Shift: Monday – Friday
Salary: $19.00 - $29.00 DOE
JOB SUMMARY:
The Junior Copywriter is responsible for writing accurate, grammatically correct, interesting, and SEO-tailored product descriptions, blog posts, buying guides, and other general web content to drive search results to the Alligator4x4 and Overlanding websites. Excellent research skills are needed for this role, along with the ability to handle a high workload while delivering accurate content geared toward generating search results and sales conversions. This position reports up to the Director of E-Commerce.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Producing well researched high-quality content for Alligator4x4.com, Overlanding website, YouTube channel, and other social media outlets via utilizing industry best practices to include a wide array of content supporting Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing
- Work with media teams to write custom content for product listings, blog posts, guides, and other content to help customers make informed buying decisions
- Proofread and copy/edit materials before publication to ensure quality and consistency of content as well as align with Alligator4x4 brand voice
- Perform industry and product research
- Follow an editorial calendar and collaborate with other members of the web content team to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Utilize search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize online visibility.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or related field; or, combination of education and work experience
- 2 years as an SEO Copywriter or Product writer preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously with differing objectives
- Ability to maintain strict adherence to the style guides of each brand and their policies for publication
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and technologies and Google page rankings
- Ability to understand business objectives and audience demographics to successfully land messaging
- Automotive industry experience a plus

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Basic knowledge of HTML markups, Adobe Suite, CSS, and photography
· Preferred Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite to include: Excel, Word, Outlook
