Role- Google Cloud DevOps Engineer
Location- Austin/ Sunnyvale (Hybrid)
Minimum Qualifications
DevOps Engineer with extensive Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience to provide technical support for the engineering team
Required advanced knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - experience with standing up and managing GCP infrastructure and environments
Knowledge of Google cloud-specific technologies and services, leverage expertise in the Cloud Command Line Interfaces (CLI) and Cloud SDK
Experience in building and deploying applications with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with containerization, Kubernetes Experience with implementing improvements in areas such as maintainability, scalability, availability
Experience with scripting languages and configuration languages
Experience with distributed architecture design principles for high-performing, scalable software
Experience in maintaining, monitoring and recovering technical components, such as software applications, relational and non-relational databases, messaging systems and Service-oriented architectures (SOA)
Experience improving platform resiliency, and resolution Conceptual, development expertise with orchestration and abstraction platforms
Expertise facilitating technical/architectural deliberations and trade-off analyses for decisions that cross multiple domains Experience in a production multi-cloud architecture
Preferred Qualifications
Professional-tier certification GCP (Cloud Architect or Cloud DevOps Engineer)
Experience with third-party tools, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and Ansible
Experience with Java, Go, Python, and other Object Oriented languages
Experience with development tools, CI/CD pipelines such as Nexus, Artifactory, SonarQube, Git, SVN, Jira, etc
Ability to work within a collaborative team and a fast-paced dynamic environment
Responsibilities
Participates in planning with internal and external resources to design and engineer Google IT cloud infrastructure solutions to support business requirements
Building and integrating server infrastructure as well as ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions.
Writes code, scripts, and templates to automate the provisioning of cloud services
Understand and maintain networking and VPN systems
Continually review infrastructure and systems to increase availability and operational efficiency.
Continually review security measures and issues for infrastructure and pipelines.
Continually review cost measures to increase cost efficiency while maintaining high availability and secure systems.
