Reports to Electrical Supervisor, Crew leader, and Plant Engineering Department. Performs repair, maintenance duties troubleshooting, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots electrical systems from 480Vac to 110Vac and 48Vdc to 5Vdc.
- Checks and records instrumentation readings on critical plant equipment, including electrical, air gas, water and oil systems.
- Performs maintenance and repairs on electrical, air, gas, water and oil systems.
- Troubleshoots new and existing equipment.
- Monitor, inspect and operate systems to make necessary adjustments and repairs as required.
- Become highly knowledgeable in all aspects of plant operations.
- Participants will be enrolled in the federally approved Bureau of Apprenticeship Training joint Apprenticeship Program and maintain GPA per program requirements.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
- Physically able to work any position.
- Must be able to move heavy equipment.
- Visual acuity 20/20, far and near, with correction if necessary.
Requirements:
- Must be able to meet all requirements of the Joint Apprenticeship Program.
- Pass a physical exam indicating the applicant can perform the work of the trade with reasonable accommodations.
- Pass the Apprentice Battery Tests.
- Successfully complete 8000 hours OJT in the plant.
- Successfully complete all related courses at a Junior College.
- Must demonstrate ability.
- Pass all reviews performed by Supervision and the Apprenticeship Committee.
Pay $34.HR/ Union Position
Pay Details: $34.30 per hour
