This opportunity is part-time and not a benefits-eligible position.
- Saturday and Sunday
- Hours: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
What Does It Take to be a Shipper/Receiver at Dawn Foods?
Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.
- Safe operation of forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, and hand jack
- Railcar or pneumatic railcar movement experience is highly desirable
- Bulk receiving experience is highly desirable
- Requires oral, written, and communication skills
- Must be able to handle many diversified tasks at one time and correctly prioritize time
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Computer skills helpful
What You'll Do as a Shipper/Receiver
- Compare counts, weights, or measurements as listed on the shipping documents and verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
- Responsible for the offloading of all bulk raw materials, moving railcars, removal of spent fumigant from railcars in summer months, and cleaning the bulk unloading area.
- Examine the incoming and outgoing trucks to ensure they are clean and meet standards for food and safety standards
- Use warehouse computer equipment to pull products based on shipping documents. Stage if required or load directly into the truck.
- Pallet inspection
- SAP batch entry and review
- Stock rotation (FIFO)
- Safely load trailers in an even and productive fashion.
- Adhere to GMP, Food Safety, International Food Standards (IFS) and American Institute of Baking (AIB) standards
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
