About the Job

This opportunity is a full-time and benefits-eligible position.

• Monday - Friday and every other Saturday
• Hours: 6am - 4:30pm

What Does It Take to be a Shipper/Receiver at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

• Safe operation of forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, and hand jack
• Railcar or pneumatic railcar movement experience is highly desirable
• Bulk receiving experience highly desireable
• Requires oral, written and communication skills
• Must be able to handle many diversified tasks at one time and correctly prioritize time
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Computer skills helpful

What You'll Do as a Shipper/Receiver

• Compare counts, weights or measurements as listed on the shipping documents and verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records
• Responsible for the offloading of all bulk raw materials, moving railcars, removal of spent fumigant from railcars in summer months, and cleaning the bulk unloading area.
• Examine the incoming and outgoing trucks to insure they are clean and meet standards for food and safety standards
• Use warehouse computer equipment to pull product based on shipping documents. Stage if required or load directly into the truck.
• Pallet inspection
• SAP batch entry and review
• Stock rotation (FIFO)
• Safely load trailers in an even and productive fashion.
• Adhere to GMP, Food Safety, International Food Standards (IFS) and American Institute of Baking (AIB) standards
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 - 75 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
