As a Full-Time Job Readiness Support Coordinator at the International Institute of St. Louis, you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive Job Readiness Support to help individuals successfully navigate the job market.
You will work closely with clients to assess their skills, develop customized job search strategies, and provide ongoing support throughout their job search journey. Your problem-solving skills and innovative approach will be key in helping our clients overcome barriers and secure meaningful employment.
The Job Readiness Support Coordinator provides employment preparedness assistance to refugees through learning and trainings opportunities. The work of the Job Readiness Support Coordinator is to help individuals identify goals, overcome barriers, and gain a deeper understanding of working in the United States. Orientation to workplace expectations is an important step to obtaining and retaining a job that results in an increased growth toward self-sufficiency. This position focuses on teaching Job Readiness classes and oversight of an online English training program through the EMPOWER Program.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Teach Job Readiness Classes twice/week in-person and offer an evening remote option for clients
- Prepare and update Job Readiness Class materials, book clients for class, arrange transportation, order interpreters for class, and document all attendance
- Convert Job Readiness Class curriculum model to establish remote access to the course
- Oversee new refugee arrivals participation in Job Readiness Class and Interview Workshop prior to Job Search assistance
- Administer licenses for EnGen English-language upskilling platform to clients and provide necessary computer literacy training as needed
- Manage all required documentation, coordination, and execution of grant requirements
- Perform other appropriate duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Understanding of hiring process, professional work experience
- Strong proficiency using web-based client database programs, Microsoft Office, and other digital literacy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and familiarity working with non-native English speakers
- Experience with data management and extensive documentation experience
- Flexibility and ability to maintain composure and professionalism in times of stress
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team as necessary.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of client and organization's information.
- Ability to work productively in a multicultural environment and demonstrate respect for differences in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to approach and resolve problems in a detail and solution-oriented manner.
- Preferred Language ability in at least one other language
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework (such as Human Resources, Marketing, Public Relations, Social Work or Business Administration), preferred
- Associate's Degree with relevant coursework and 2 years of full-time experience
- Increasingly responsible (2-4 years of full-time equivalent experience) in job development, teaching, human resources, job placement, or closely related field.
